The purpose of the Stepinac High School Foundation, as noted in its certificate of incorporation that was filed on November 13, 1966 is to “solicit grants, contributions and donations from public and private sectors, which will be donated to Archbishop Stepinac High School for the purpose of specifically, designated projects and / or tuitions, as determined solely by the Board of Directors. Such donations will have the intention of benefitting education and related activities, all in an effort to promote appreciation for the understanding of Christian faith and life.”
James Scully '80
Jim, a graduate of the class of 1980 is a life-long White Plains resident. He attended St. John’s Elementary School before attending Stepinac. Jim’s older brother preceded him at Stepinac as a member of the class of 1977. Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University at Buffalo and a Construction Management degree from New York University. He is a partner in Scully Construction LLC, a leading provider of general contracting and construction management services in the tri-state area. Jim is a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows in White Plains and a member of Westchester Hills Golf Club. He is also a member of the Irish Business Organization, the Westchester Building Contractors Association and the White Plains St. Patrick’s Day Parade committee. He is a member of Stepinac’s Board of Trustees, member of the Alumni Association where he co-chairs the long-range planning committee and the annual Alumni Golf Outing. Jim is involved with the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity, helping to construct homes in Port Chester, Mt. Vernon and Yonkers.
Robert Hyland '63
Bob, a graduate of the class of 1963 was born in White Plains and came to Stepinac after graduating from St. Bernard’s School. He attended Boston College as a marketing major. Football, according to his coaches, was Bob’s first love. Upon graduation, Bob was a first-round draft choice for the Green Bay Packers. His professional football career spanned 11 years and included being a center on the champion Packers in Super Bowl II. After the 1975 season he married Liz O’Brien. They have three sons who are also Stepinac graduates: Michael '96, Dennis '98 and Kevin ’02 and Christine, who attends The Ursuline School in New Rochelle. Today, he is owner and President of the Sports Page Pub in White Plains and a Special Agent for Mass Mutual Life Insurance. Bob has been an active member of the community, and has been honored with induction to the Westchester County Hall of Fame, the CHSAA Hall of Fame, Boston College Sports Hall of Fame and Stepinac's Hall of Fame.
Raymond Cisneros '57
Ray is a graduate of the class of 1957, having transferred from Cardinal Hayes High School in the middle of his sophomore year when his family moved to Scarsdale from New York City. He received a B.S. degree from Fordham University and became a Certified Public Accountant with Haskins & Sells. He left public accounting to spend 14 years as a hospital executive before returning to public accounting as a partner with Touche, Ross & Co., subsequently Deloitte & Touche, where he was appointed National Director for Health Care working in its Boston office, then Philadelphia office until his retirement in 2001. Ray has been a member of several national boards, a college board and is currently serving on the board of a hospital in Pennsylvania and its foundation. Ray and his wife, Ann, who met through a joint Stepinac-Our Lady of Victory Glee Club Concert, have 7 children, 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. They live in Norfolk, Massachusetts where Ray is on his parish finance council and is a folk choir director. Ray has been Treasurer of the Alumni Association for the past several years.
Ronald P. Tedesco '57
Ron is a Stepinac Alumnus, Class of ’57. He obtained his B.S. in Physics from Manhattan College, and an M.S. in Physics from Fordham University. In his preparation for administrative work at Stepinac, he obtained an Certificate in School Administration and Supervision (S.A.S.) from Long Island University. At Stepinac, Ron has served in many roles including Physics and Electronics Teacher, Science Department Chair, and Headmaster. He took on the work of Annual Fund Officer and Director of Alumni Affairs in 1999. After 50 years of service on Stepinac Faculty and Administration, Ron retired in May 2014. In his home village of Tarrytown, NY, Ron is a Member of the Planning Board on which he has served since 1988.
Mr. Patrick Austin '65
Pat is a graduate of the class of 1965. He and his wife, Mary Jean, are members of Our Lady of Sorrows parish in White Plains. Pat’s three sons are Stepinac graduates: Patrick Jr. ’88; Michael '91 and Darren ’98. His two brothers are also Stepinac alumni: Bob '58 and Bill ’64. After high school, Pat graduated from Fordham University and became a Certified Public Accountant. He was a Senior Vice President and CFO for WPIX Radio. He is semi-retired but still works on taxes and financial planning. Pat enjoys jogging and volunteer work and is a member of several community committees and boards.
John Butala '82
John, a Stepinac graduate'82, is a member of St. Mary's parish in Ridgefield, Connecticut. His wife, Patrice, is a Maria Regina graduate. They are the parents of three children: Mary Grace, Michael and Daniel. His brother is also a Stepinac graduate, Stephen '72. John received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance and a MBA in Information Technology from Iona College. He is currently Assistant Treasurer at Freepoint Commodities LLC in Stamford, Connecticut.
Richard DelBello '67
Richard graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. degree. He is currently a financial consultant, and formally was managing director and head of equity for UBS in New York City. Richard lives in Westport, Connecticut. His activities at Stepinac included the Dramatic Society and the Spanish Club. In the sports area he participated in cross country, track and tennis -- and was one of the six seniors in Stepinac’s Ski Club!
Kevin Dervin '81
Kevin, a graduate of the class of 1981, is a member of Our Lady of Sorrows parish in White Plains. He and his wife, Mary Ellen, have two sons, Sean ’15 and Brian, who will attend Stepinac. His two brothers are also Stepinac graduates, Dennis ’67 and Jim ’69. After high school, Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from The Catholic University of America. He is currently the Regional Senior Vice President of Property Brokerage at Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services in New York City. During his spare time, Kevin enjoys coaching the JV boy’s basketball program at OLS and playing golf at Westchester Hills in White Plains.
Thomas Martin '65
Tom (J.D., CLU, ChFC, MSFS) has been the owner of an investment advisory and retirement planning firm for over 30 years. He is the President of Circle Advisers, Inc. Circle’s expertise includes all areas of financial counseling, executive compensation and benefits, estate planning life insurance as well as retirement planning. He is a tax attorney and a registered investment adviser. Tom is a graduate of The College of the Holy Cross and Fordham University Law School. He has a Master of Science in Financial Services from the American College. Tom has been involved with Stepinac for many years. He and his wife, Kathy, have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
Joe is a long time resident of White Plains a graduate of Our Lady of Sorrows and Stepinac class of ’82. Both of his brothers as well as his cousin are graduates of Stepinac, Ray class of ’77 and Tom class of ’86, and Andrew Baldovin class of ’97. Both of Joe’s sons are Stepinac men as well, Joseph II class of ’10 and Kyle class of ’15. Joe is a graduate of Syracuse University ’86 with a BA degree in international economics and a minor in finance. He is an Executive Director and Chief Compliance Officer for Vontobel Asset Management, Inc.
Michael Molinelli '77
Michael, a graduate of the class of 1977 and past president of the Stepinac Alumni Association, is a member of St. Theresa’s Parish in Briarcliff. His brothers are also Stepinac graduates, Eugene '69 and Bruce ’80. Mike and his wife, Regina, have three children: Luke, Charlotte and Philip. Mike graduated from the University of Notre Dame and is currently an Architect in his own business, Molinelli Architects. In his spare time Mike enjoys skiing, travel, kayaking and spending time with his children. He is a captain and volunteer in the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department and is a member of the Board of Directors and former president of Child Care Council of Westchester. In the past, Mike has worked in the Shore homeless shelter and as a CCD teacher.
Richard Nagle '59
Dick graduated from Stepinac in 1959 after attending Transfiguration School in Tarrytown. He founded the Stepinac Alumni Theatre, the longest running alumni activity at Stepinac. He has the distinction of being the first male graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in Communications. He spent 20 years with the New York City Fire Department, retiring as a lieutenant from Engine Company 26 in Manhattan. He spent 11 years as Chief of the Ridgefield, Connecticut Fire Department and 6 years as Director of the New York State Fire Academy. He has been a volunteer firefighter for over 50 years, serving as Chief of the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department prior to being appointed as Director of Emergency Management for the village, a post he currently holds. Dick has four children and 5 grandchildren and continues to pursue his acting passion along with his wife, Jeannie, with appearances in the Alumni Theatre Cabaret.
Joseph Russo '65
Joe is a life long resident of White Plains and a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in White Plains where he currently serves as Trustee. After completing elementary school at St. John’s he went to Stepinac, graduating in 1965. Joe continued to be very active in the Stepinac Alumni Theatre and has been the legal advisor to the Foundation since its inception. Joe has received a BA from Fairfield University, a JD from Fordham University Law School and an MBA from Iona College School of Business. He has conducted a general law practice in White Plains for the last 30 years. Joe has also completed a US Army Reserve career, retiring as Colonel in 2001. Joe and his wife, Helen, have one daughter, Emily.
